As wierd as this sounds... I wish that I had summer school. I can never find anything to do during the summer... I cant even find a job.

You WANT to go to summer school??? School takes away from my game development time...

If you're still bored, you should take up electric guitar (at least I find it very entertaining). You can also use it to drive your family crazy. :-)

My strat was breaking strings every couple weeks, so I ordered graphite saddles, but they aren't here yet, so I'm going through rock withdrawal... :'-(

I play the piano, so that keeps me slightly entertained. and for some reason, I just don't feel the urge to make calculator programs when I'm at home. I get all my inspiration at school. Plus I'm more of a Math Program type of guy.

saddles are easy to replace, and that'll fix your problem perfectly. Did you just start playing?

I started about a year ago, but I had played keyboard for years before that, so all the notes and chord stuff was familiar already.

I also heard that with graphite saddles, bends are a lot easier...

Everything's easier with graphites. I play a strat also when I play electric, but I usually play acoustic. My style is more rhythmic(sp?) and involves lots of strumming, so I almost never play electric anymore. You might wanna look into getting some schaller locking tuners also. They make changing strings take about 1/6 of the time it usually takes, and keep your guitar iun tune alot better. Try "www.musiciansfriend.com". But back on the topic of calcs, :P I use my 83+ probably everyday. I use it almost like you would use a gameboy.

Same here. I play 99.9% of games on my calc. :-) (Not that that's the only thing I do with it...)

My dad bought it from a room mate in collage a long time ago, and he recently handed it down to me. It's a Les Paul Jr. though, and it's spray-painted black, but it rocks. (see link)
As for music, I only played classical guitar before, but I've gotten pretty good with electric.

Looks great! What I meant is "what type of music do you play on it? Do you use distortion pedals, etc.".

Calcs and guitar go together in interesting ways...I found a guitar chord calculator prog in the archives...

Yeah, I've seen actually a couple of those. Most of them were just chord charts of open chords on like the first 6 frets though, but nicely done none the less. I was actually thinking about making a program where you could enter in a chord (a really complicated one like F#maj7b9#11), and it would tell you every note in the chord. But I don't know if it would be possible to keep something like that relatively small, or if it would be useful.

Why would it have to be useful? If it helps you becoming a better programmer (and practice makes perfect, so it should), then go ahead and make it. For instance, you might very well learn something new when you're thinking about how to keep it small.
(Btw, I'm not doubting your programming skills, I'm sorry if it sounds like that.)

That is a good way to look at things. And don't worry, I didn't think you were doubting me, but I'm not that great anyway so it doesn't matter. I think I'm gonna get started on that. *Anyone who has some knowledge on diminished and sus chords PLEASE send me an email.*

I don't play guitar, but isn't the suspended just just the maj 3rd raised a half step, and isn't the diminished just a minor, with the 5th lowered a half step? I guess that is how I have always played it, and is sounds right on the piano.

I've got a little box with an expression petal that lets me program effects, so I play a wide range of styles.

Nice! I've got a Boss SD-2 Dual Overdrive. Gives my guitar a great GnR-like sound when I add a little reverb...

Sweet. I always use a Jekyl & Hyde overdrive pedal. And I've got one of those Crate V-Series tube amps. It's only got 15 watts, but it can really put it out, and is perfect for bedroom practice. And it just sounds so awesome because it's a tube :)

I've got a Peavey amp-any idea if those use tubes or not? (I'm too lazy to look inside).
