***Buys 100 shares of TI stock, for the sole purpose of redeeming myself for falling for the joke***
Not really fell completely, until I clicked "read more and discuss" and saw the returns, I was like "waiiiit a minute"... which caused the stock price to change... which being after wallstreet hours and the market was not open....so i was like "waiiiit anoooother minute".... which caused the price to change again...which reminded me again that the market was not open....and i was like "waiiit a minute".…then I thought “well, maybe it’s futures”…. then I was like “this is supposed to be nonprofit”….and after reading a few replies saying things such as "good joke".etc.etc. I kinda felt cheapish. So I deduced myself out of completely falling for it… *runs away and hides*

Some groups offer free hosting for organizations incorperated as a 501C3 (a registered nonprofit in the USA). The cost of getting a domain named .org from a domain registrar is about $10/year on the free market. You also have to pay for a server, by either buying, building, or renting (buying hosting). I rent part of the server for my site, cesdep.org, for $5 a month. Usually, if you rent a server, you don't have to pay for a connection. TiCalc.org, because it has it's own server and beowolf cluster of TI-81s, must pay a bill for a fast internet connection, as well as the domain registration, electricity, any proprietary software, etc.
Funny, nerds who don't know how the internet works! And that's not the half of it.
