I've started on a fresh interface/emulation redo with the time I have after that horrible delayed disaster I mentioned. I've picked the new 3.0 z80 core and 83+SE to start with and get hardware emulation current before working on templating and expanding.

This looks to also turn into cross-platform finally after the new code is ironed out. Trust me this is needed for both code cleaning and adding stuff easily. That code hasnt' been gone through ALL the way in a long time, even with the 3.0 reduction and restructure.

I have nowhere else to announce this so...

Well, this time there won't be complaints about people not able to test the programs. Everybody here has a PC, right?

Those all look like Windows programs, correct? Well, some people use Linux or MacOS... (Or something else.)

Correct. I use Mac OS X, so I was forced to vote "No Opinion".

The only one that I have tried is VTI 3, but I only go "EAccessViolations". (Was Borland Builder used to compile that? Oh well, I normally just use Linux anyway, so I have no oppinion.

It was rather surprising how many people couldn't get VTI 3.0 to work. I got those violations at first but I figured out tha I nnede to just create anew folder for 3.0 and have just the 1 rom in it and it worked fine. Taht worked for me at least.

I couldn't get VTI to work because I have the USB Graphlink. Instead I used the TI SDK debugger. I found this to be better for my debugging Purposes anyway.

I cant get VTI to work because I too have a USB graphlink. I voted for TI POWER GOLD. Personally I belive its a really good program. Im quite surprized that there are so little amount of programs to choose from (compared to 83+ and 89 its very little) although I know that VTI will win (I mean look at the downloads!) I still believe that TI power GOLD deserves the award ;)

I also couldn't get vti to work for the same reason. however, if you have the sdk debugger, you can copy the .clc files and add them to vti. then put a version of the OS in the same folder and vti will work , even if you use the USB port.

I would have voted for TI's TI83+ Flash Debugger version 3. In my opinion, its better than VTI, as it supports USB linking. (I can smell the flames)

Yes, the "EAccessViolations" error seems to appear when VTI cannot locate a valid ROM file...by the way, does anyone know when a new, updated version of VTI will be released? Simply put, it's a great program!

You know, you aren't forced to vote, meaning you could ignore the voting.

I believe he means forced to choose "no opinion", among the other options (due to having Mac OS, and not being able to run the programs). I don't think he meant he was forced to vote (as if he had to for some reason), against the option of not voting.

If it was commandline, I could simply recompile it for Mac OS X's Darwin (Unix) kernel. Since it is graphical, it would be a pain in the butt. If Microsoft didn't own Virtual PC, I'd run it on there. As it is, I will get Linux for PPC, and run it on WINE.

That's funny: VTI on VPC!!

You might know this already, but Wine is not exactly an emulator. If you want to use it to run Windows programs on a processor other than x86, they have to be recompiled.

I recently discovered a Free Software (LGPL) PC emulator which is very flexible/customizable, or so I've read: Bochs. I've never used it (but I plan, but I just thought you might like to know.

The Bochs home page is in the link above.
