I've been working about 4 days a week with about 16-19 hours a week.

On average I work about 42 hours a week.

50+ hours per week not much time for anything else

I work ~40 a week. Enough to buy a laptop at the end of the summer and program some excelent games. Til then, not doing much other than marching band that started two weeks ago. :-/

Marching band is awesome!!! i just went to a leadership seminar today for marching band.

i work at kmart and am hardly getting any hours right now. probably only about 10-15 per week. but i'm working at our state fair which starts on monday making $10 an hour :)

Yeah band is fun, but after 4 years, the marching kinda hurts... But this poll isn't fair. You should be able to choose 2 options... I'm a lifeguard, and I catch lotsa rays, but im also working (technically)...

Marching band sucks. I'm sorry, but I've had to do it since I was nine. Luckily i've gotten out of parades for the last two years.

It's worse if ya have to carry the banner.

I was in marching band until our director chose JOHN WILLIAMS for our music this season. Boy, and I was the clarinet section (despite having 3 other "clarinet players" in said section.)

WHAT!? I was tricked into carrying the stupid banner for marching band, this year. I don't even play an instrument! So, I get to look like a moron in front of everbody, carrying this stupid banner... it's really pointless. Blah, I hate it.

LOL! I think he was referring to half-time or pre-game shows for football (American football, not soccer), not parades. That's the kind of marching I do.

yes it is. i mainly meant the competitions that we go to though. football games are really dumb because it's usually freezing cold out or extremely hot, there is no in-between. our marching bad show is going to be awesome this year. it's called "a russian portrait" and it is a bunch of russian songs and it's really cool. plus i'm section leader this year :D

football games are alright, we don't even go to marching competitions (marching isn't really big in our area), but parades are awesome. You guys are missing out. I live in Louisiana and marching in Mardi Gras parades is the best. It's the only time people get excited and cheer when the band plays (at least for bands in our area, remember, no competitions) and the drunks are hilarious! Too bad I'm not in band anymore, but I'll always have those memories :)

we usually only do one parade each year and that is for our local college. you can be sure that on the day of the parade it will be blistering hot. it is a garantee.

The parades are what's bad for me... I have to wear this ridiculous looking "uniform" and march around in front of everybody, to make fun of us. *cry*

I think you're missing out on the fun in competitions. Our marching band was invited to play at the Diamond Walnut Bowl in San Francisco on New Year's Eve, along with six other bands across the nation. Not only is it a competiton, but it's national enternainment! w00t!

i play alto saxophone and i'm section leader this year :D

I'm new at my high school, so I'm technically not the section leader, even though I have the most musical experience of my section (I've been playing low brass instruments since 5th grade, whereas the other members of my section started sousaphone over the summer).

I play trumpet in my high school marching band. i'm section leader this year.

I play a Baritone, which can get very tiring holding that thing up for a long time. But its fun. Next week we have band camp where most of the girls wear practicly nothing because its so hot outside. :-p

I play trumpet in my marching band in Ohio. I love marching band. I'm one of the best trumpet players in the band, along with 2 seniors. I can't wait until next year, when their gone!

most of the time i work in the pantry but occasionly i work in electronics. i've never had to do misc util. :p

I'm doing the exact same thing...40 hours a week and am saving up for a laptop...actually I have already bought it and am paying it off. It is quite a beauty:

My mind and thoughts are not 'immature'. And, pornography is nothing to do with being a 'perv' (unless you are thinking of the harder, slightly sicker variety).

THere is nothing wrong with sex. They way it is portrayed in pornography is what is wrong. It is a gift only your wife should be able to experience from you and only you. Also, the constant viewing of porn changes a guys attitude towards girls into an immature, horny sex machine. Porn itsself may not be immature but the clear results of it are.

You seem to be thinking of hardcore porn. I agree that is pretty demeaning and not quite right.

Ahhh. I understand now. I know exactly what your talking about. I'm into photography and I have seen and heard a lot about that, but I prefer to stick to the low light, night, and nature genres.

I have to admit there are just two things 'human made' I take photo's / do sketchs of. Technological wonders, and the human body. The rest is nature. Unfortunately I am living in the city at the mo. So there aren't many photo oppotunities.

My house and neihborhood are nice but you can only take picture of the same things so many different ways, especially when you've been around the environment so long. You should consider trying some bulb exposers (bad speller)of stree intersections or such, with the light at night you can get some pretty interesting shots.

well i have a 64 mb ati mobility 9000 in my laptop :-P

yeah, where is that option?
i chose Summer School... but I've probably spent more time programming on my calc than i've spent paying attention (heck, just look at my uploaded files list, almost 15 of them say "I wrote this while i was in Summer School):P
but yeah... summer school... a really great chance to program games and write math programs ;-) (I got Math 12)

i've spent most of my summer doing a combination of studying, watching tv, doing homework, and playing video games.
