For some reason it doesn't let me get a rom immage from my ti-83 plus (SE)!!!!

Make sure you have OS 1.12 (I think) or lower, VTI is not compatible with any other OS.

I have an 83+ SE, and I couldn't get it to work, but then I went to this site and found how to get the file from the TI Link program itself, and you can also download the skin for the SE somewhere.

What was the website? When I use VTI on my 83+SE itll finish sending the file but then it will say connection error.

Maybe that's my problem--
VTI did let me get a ROM image (with OS v1.14), but the calc won't turn on...

That's it. It happened to me, too.

You need OS1.12 MAXIMUM. Yes, I tried installing OS1.14, OS1.15 and OS1.13, but OS1.12 is the only one that will work! (Apart from really old ones.)

Nothing happens with OS v1.15 either. Is this what I should expect to happen?

i have operating system 1.15 for the 83+. is this why it would work. if so where can i can't a lower operating system to make it work

Try your TI-Resource CD (do a search for *.8xu). If you cannot find it, email me (benryves@techie.com) and I can email you OS 1.12 (the lowest I have). It is a bit buggy in VTI, however.

Just email ti-cares, they'll send you any version you like.

Once he implements Flash support, the downloads will SKYROCKET(again)....

That's because they think they know what they're doing. Last year, Kiran Nair and I and a WHOLE bunch of poeple "discovered" an IM service built-in to Novell. You could IM anyone who was logged on at the school at any time!! Fun!! What the principals did was since there were too many poeple to just give dentention, they told the entire lunch period to stop IM'ming. That was it. It was FUN!! >8^)

It was fun...but THEY TOOK IT OFF!!!!! WAAAHHHHHH!!!!

If you're using Windows 2000 or XP (and the other versions of NT, I guess) you can use the command 'net send (user name) (message)' to IM, although I don't know if it'll work with Novell.

go to run and type in winpopup, you can talk to anyone on a windows network, provided you know their network address
