OK, here is my idea. If it is a joke, then we laugh. If it isn't a joke, we boycot all V200 sales. That ought to send a message to TI, because about 80% of the V200 sales are probably going to come from people here, and that will hurt them.

Yeah, the Click part gave it away for me. How can you track the number of clicks on a site by a certain person, and people really aren't going to give their real adress so they can send you bills!

As the article states, Slashdot (see link) does it, but they only charge to take ads off of a page, and you buy 1000 of these pages for $5. They're prepaid (using Paypal), and if you don't pay you just get to see ads on the page.

Why don't you dump your own ROM Image? the software is available somewhere on this site...wait, doesn't VTI have ROM dumping software?

Yes, and it doesn't work for the 82. Then, I downloaded and followed the instructions with a DOS rom dump and it locked up the computer. I tried it more than once. Each time, it totally locked up.

i have a 82 too. i dumped it, but it stoped at the end so it doesent have the ti82 info on it
