ti-cas.org Programming Contest
Posted by Eric on 9 September 2001, 07:39 GMT

ti-cas.org has announced a programming contest that's being sponsored Texas Instruments. The rules seem to be pretty open-ended, so check the contest webpage for more detailed information.

Update (Eric): I've been informed by ti-fr.org that they're also running a similar programming contest where you must create a utility for the TI-89, TI-92, or TI-92+.

What's going on here?

It's traditionally better to at least post something off-topic in the current news item, but I thought that would be a bit inappropriate in this case.

Anyway... So, yeah, nice to see two whole files were uploaded today. Keep up the good work, archivers. Seriously, though, what's going on? The file additions seem to keep getting smaller and further apart. I remember when I first started visiting here (probably a little over a year ago, when I got my TI-89), there were always updates of at least considerable size every day. Right now, I have at least two programs I'd like to submit now, but I'm deterred by the fact that the file queue is heavy, and I seriously doubt it's going to get any lighter any time in the near future. No offense, but the archivers getting lazy or something? I'd blame it on the recent tragedy, but this was going on before that happened. I dunno, maybe they're still on vacation, despite the blatent fact that summer's long (enough) over. Anyone know what's going on here?

Check out the 89 RPG I got in the works. It beats the pants off of everything else out there.
