Man that was freaky. I was in my class reading a passage, when the table started shaking. I told a guy behind me that it wasn't funny that he was shaking the table. But when i turned around, he was already under the table. yeah you could call me slow too, but it took me like 10 seconds before i got under the table. the shake made me dizzy and our wall cracked. man our school sux, it's so old. Good thing i acted upon my instincts and grabbed my trusty old ti85 on the table before i ducked. anyways hope everyone is safe @:0).

I was in school in Portland, Oregon. We felt it, too, though it was pretty wimpy. Impressive nonetheless.

(It's funny - everyone's been mentioning about how they told the guy behind them to quit kicking the desk ... )

BTW from above message, i was in Seattle, so the sahke wasn't that big, but still some parts of seattle were damaged, like to see the old space needle fall though!

UM there WERE people on the Space Needle @ the time of the earthquake. Would you like to see those people plummet to their deaths?

oh my. I heard that on the news I hope every body is ok, so is the space needle a earthquake resistant, like
does it have the newest tequniqe to prevent major damage, I heard that when there is a earthquake the buildings kind of shake because of the spring thing
in the ground, and some building have alot more stuff in the ground like a ice berg, have any one heard about those technique, I think all buildings in the usa has those way to prevent major damage, I am sorry if I mis pronounce any words or misspelled any because I am in a hurry.

I was in bloc class at the time; and the stupidest girl stood up and yelled that the room was shaking. We all told her to shut-up, then we all felt it. We got under our table; while our teacher finished his e-mail. I live about an hour north of Seattle
