I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I need another copy of AMS 2.03 so I can reflash my 89 so I can send my product code again(currently using HW2patch). What is the max page limit for the eBooks (considering you had all ram free)?

The size of eBooks is limited by the maximum variable size on the TI which is 65520 Bytes.
The compression used by the eBooks gives a ratio of 50% or better. So there fit about 130-150kB of text in one book. Larger texts have to be splitted in more than one eBook.
The next eBook is "War of Worlds" from H.G. Wells which is splitted into 3 eBooks + 1 eBook for the text of the original radio broadcast. It will be uploaded today.

It seems that eBook is a rip-off of Pictionary, the latest features especially.

Out of curiosity (OK OK, I wanted to play with my new DSL connection..) I clicked the college link. One of the first things I stumbled upon (and rather quickly - it's FAST) was an article on *cough* "Internet Addiction."

How can we let Nick be forced into a den of hypocrasy like this? We must act! We must prevent this! We must send letters and small heavy packages wrapped in packing tape! I will be the first!

I reckon Nick has enough to worry about without people sending him packages and letters. He may be forced into the mistaken conclusion that people are Out To Get Him. Then he may take his own life by sitting in Steve Wozniak's car and turning the ignition key before accelerating off a cliff. Knowing Nick, he may even calculate the optimum speed needed to reach the maximum chance of a quick death when plummeting off a cliff. Then we would feel guilty, and write lots of pointless words on TiCalc.org, and forever be deprived of the humor of NickD.org and of course his (irregular but interesting anyway) news postings here at this site.
This would be a Bad Thing.
But I reckon instead of sending letters, sending small gifts of prescription nasal spray or even books that you liked would be a Good Move. As Nick likes reading, but needs the spray to oil his trebuchet. Or something.

I got a 56k that does 4k a sec. Anyone want to top that? Thats what I thought. (HINT: You'll have to have a modem equipped with Nick's random number generator to beat it.)

I can definately top that. I've got a 56k modem (a nice 56k modem, not a winmodem). Before I moved I got 1.2 kBps, now I get 2.2 kBps. Thanks to Sprint local telephone diservice. After 8 PM I've got to play with the phone to get a dial tone, and even if I've got a dial tone I'm still not guaranteed to get a line out (who knows what would happen if I needed 911, I'd probably just die). 4 kBps would be *very* nice for me.

Yeah, I have a cable. When using all my threads I've sometimes gotten 300k per second.

what service do you have 'cause thats a crappy connection for cable? i only get 300k when i'm streeming a video or something, otherwise i get 1.5m per sec.

RoadRunner, but from what I've heard that's good for a cable. What do you have? It might also be partly because the rest of the net is slow.

i have mediaone. which was recently bought by at&t. since at&t bought mediaone the service has become crappy. they go down about once a week.

I'm on a 56k and I get around 5.5 k/s regularly...

i have a university connection. 10mbps in the rooms. The entire ethernet will soon be 1gbps. hehe.
