TI-89/92/92+ Information Updated
Posted by Nick on 10 April 2000, 02:07 GMT
Gareth James has updated his help file to fix some typographical errors and to add some more information. However, most notable of the changes is the conversion of the entire file into a Windows-based help format, .chm. This makes navigation for info much easier. Download it in .CHM format here. You can find the original, in MS Word format (.doc), here.

For us Linux users, we'll have to stick with the .docs (unless there is a utility I don't know about for viewing chm's). But word2x works quite well.
And where does this guy get all this information? Intimidating!

This ASM Tutorial has been incredibly helpful. One problem with the new release is that you need Windows to access the infromation - i.e. I can't read it on my Mac. If possible, having a plain Word version as well as Windows Help would give an alternative to those that don't have Windows. Other than that, thanks for all the great info.

Can't this stuff be released in less Micro$oft specific formats?
Some of us actually use OSes other than Windows 95/98/NT, which makes .doc and .CHM a bit of a problem.
IMO, the best thing for documentation like this is DocBook SGML (see http://www.docbook.org/ and http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/), but plain HTML would be fine.
If I'm not mistaken, *.CHM stands for compiled HTML, so it shouldn't be to difficult to convert the docs to a set of plain html files
cheers anyway etc.
