I'm having trouble with AMS 2.03 on NT4.0?
ROMS are working (1.4 and 1.12) and AMS 1.01 is working? Is it necessary to delete any previous installation before moving onto v2.5 Beta 5?

Maybe it's just me, but any routines which attemp to send stuff via the external port doens't work at all. Port (7)! The virtual link also doens't work . Anyone else experienced this problem? I presume most didn't even try :(

VTI emulates the link port at the byte level. Are you trying to do something at the "wire" level?

Ah :) That would explain why! I made a routine to do bidirectional transfers. (You can send & receive simultaneously) [Not 100% simult but you know] It takes half the send/receives it takes for a normal 8byte transfer. Is there anyway I can send you the routines and you can see if you can incorporate the protocol within the code for it to be supported in future versions?

I have noticed this problem since VTI supported parallel links. I have a home-made parallel link, and it won't allow me to transfer my rom from my ti-89. I get transmission errors. On the Calc, I see it attempting to transfer, but it ends quickly. The link works with several TI-85s and TI82s and VTI. Strange. Anyways, there's one other problem that I can't figure out. In this new version, when I use the ROM wizard to transfer the ROM from a TI-85, it seems to work fine, but when I restart VTI, I get a TI-82 that doesn't turn on. So, I try it again, And now, I get a TI82 AND a TI85, neither of which turn on. Even a reset doesn't work. It worked in all previous versions of VTI. Strange.

Want a free TI-89?

1. Get the AMS 2.03 ROM from ti.com
2. Get VTI.
3. Put #1 into #2 (you will have to type the ROM name into the ROM Wizard manually).
4. Solve equations, play games.

And guess what? VTI works in Linux too! "Wine Vti.exe".

Wicked :) I didn't know it ran well with Wine. Usually, wine *whines* a lot with the programs made using C++ Builder and VB since they usually use unsupported DLLs.

Well, nonethless wicked :)
