Do you like programming TI calculators? How would you like to get paid for it? TI has immediate openings for: - Z80 software developers
- 68000 software developers
- TI calc programmer support staff
Interested? Send your resume to epsjobs@ti.com. Source: Texas Instruments

It absolutely is not true. The Civil War proved that a state, once becoming a state, cannot secede from the Union.
The Confederation, BTW, is technically never considered to exist, and the Civil War is not officially recorded as such, but as the "Great Rebellion," if I remember correctly.
You can't secede, though (can you imagine the chaos that would cause, with each state threatening to secede for every little thing it didn't like?).

all TI calculators are like the old computers , because they have Z80 and MC68000, and you can do a lot of thinks with these processor -even having the smallest amount of memory- ,
So , I don't think TI-OS is taking advantage of the processor . For example , I saw a HP49G doing a 3Dgraph .... 2 times faster than the TI89.... well , there are few things that can explain that , memory and the 3D engine program .HP49G uses NEC Saturn 4Mhz and it has 3 more registers than the Motorola 68000 , and some of them are 64bit (I don't know if this is a reason). But
motorola 68000 is a 16bit processor (Nec S is a 4 bit processor) , with 10/12 Mhz freq , and has 68000 transistors
So , It must be faster in all ways
Try to find out how many transistors NEC Saturn has ...

What everyone seems to be forgetting about is the fact that the 68000 is used in the Palm computers. Actually, it's a slightly different processor called the Dragonball that is related to/is a 68000, but Motorola has hidden or never posted any information saying how the two are related, so if anyone knows, please tell me. In any case, the Palm really proves the power of the 68000 architecture, since they have a new version of the DragonBall running at 33Mhz, and the Palm is capable of some very impressive things including: Handwriting recognition, Full (256) color screen and programs, Web Browsing, 3D Rendering (seriously, someone ported OpenGL to the Palm) and quite a few other things. So actually, when it comes to new ideas in programming, I would say that the 68000 is probably the most active processor. Admittedly, what I really want is a job at Palm, not TI :)

MC68000 it's 1979 design of Motorola , when it was released it became the most popular at the time , it is(was) used in many computers , as the first Apple Mac , Atari ST , etc . It IS used in the sega Genesis and the popular arcade machines of capcom , neo geo , sega system16 , etc .
So , I think there are MANY people programing this Processor . the same goes for Z80 .
