Sonic MisAdventures v0.32

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Dim-TI and Ti.Fr got this before me. I've been studying with some other people for this really big chem test, and the one time I shut my computer off all the good stuff happens. Patrick Pelissier has released v0.32 of Sonic MisAdventures for the 89, the 92, and the 92 Plus. AMS v2.03 compatibility has been achieved. I don't know how well (if at all) this will work on HW v2.00 calculators, so I wouldn't expect this to work on it if I were you. You need the newest version of Genlib to run this (v0.99.10). Snag that for the 89, the 92, and the 92 Plus. Thanks to Patrick and Ti.Fr for this one!

For those of you who own a TI-89 Hardware Version 2 calc and are kinda irritated by the constant grayscale flicker in Sonic MisAdventures, there is a way to eliminate that.
First, make sure that you have download the latest zip of GenLib (0.99.10) and sent the lib to your calc -- *don't* archive the lib, even if your OS supports it. Next, check the "Prog" subfolder (in the folder you unzipped the GenLib zip in) for "Gentimer.89z" -- send this to the calc as well. You need hexlib in order to run this (the calc will notify you if you don't have it). Now go ahead and run GenTimer.
You will see a hexadecimal number on the screen (default is 000F1). This is GenLib's internal timer setting, and it can be used to adjust the quality of the grayscale in GenLib programs. Use + and - to increase or decrease the setting (press the buttons quickly, the value changes rather fast) -- for me, the value 000F5 completely eliminates all flicker. To save the new value, press 2nd. Now run the game, and voila! Perfect grayscale!
Results may vary, of course ;P I have a HW2 running AMS 1.05, so I don't know how well this works under AMS 2.03. Give it a try, though!

I get a "Library Relocation" error everytime I try to run SMA on a HW 1 AMS 2.03 TI-89. Has anyone seen this error before, or know what to do about it? Originally I dumped all the files into the main folder (including all the DOORS OS fiels), and when that didn't work I made folders for DOORS and SMA, and have the same problem.

Has anyone figured out yet how to get through Aquatic Ruins Act II? I just find myself going around in circles...

man, the 89 can get great games, yet most of them are extremely buggy (bomberman 89, street fighter); there're only a handful of games I'm comfortable with keeping on my calc (jezzball, frogger, phoenix, tetris). Top that off with incompatibility issues between hw1 and hw2, ams 1.00, 1.05, and 2.03, and you have the reasons why the 86 is my preferred choice for games (plus the fact it doesn't need specific kernels/shells to run programs, and most don't use libraries)
also, SMA is a good example as to why libraries on the 86 are a bad idea; sure, they make programming easier, but look at what everybody's going through to get one game running.
