Sonic MisAdventures v0.32
Posted by Nick on 7 March 2000, 01:53 GMT
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Dim-TI and Ti.Fr got this before me. I've been studying with some other people for this really big chem test, and the one time I shut my computer off all the good stuff happens. Patrick Pelissier has released v0.32 of Sonic MisAdventures for the 89, the 92, and the 92 Plus. AMS v2.03 compatibility has been achieved. I don't know how well (if at all) this will work on HW v2.00 calculators, so I wouldn't expect this to work on it if I were you. You need the newest version of Genlib to run this (v0.99.10). Snag that for the 89, the 92, and the 92 Plus. Thanks to Patrick and Ti.Fr for this one!

I got the game onto my HW2, ams 2.03 calc, and could get the SMA option screen on the calc. I could select the level, but when I pushed enter, I got an 'address error' message on the bottom of the calc. Basically, I can't load the levels. Any suggestions??

IT FIGURES! one of the many new-found compatible games for ams 2.03 and it doesnt work. Curse Ti.com's dumb upgrade. Oh well, maybe in a couple of months most games will be converted to Ams 2.03. If another upgrade comes out i wont make the mistake of upgrading right away again, thats for sure! Cya all.
P.s. download my screensaver for ti83 :). smooth scrolling text and polar graphics. In the Graphics section now.

You should shut your computer down more often, and study more.

For the people who got this to work on their HW2 calc w/ AMS 2.03: how? I'm using Doors OS II v0.95 and the HW2 libs instead of the HW1 ones in the SMA libs folder, and also the updated version of Graphlib that comes with Doors v0.95, but I'm still getting an Address Error when I try to run SMA, and if I try to run it again after that I get a Memory Violation error then the calc locks up and I have to reset it. So to anyone who got SMA to work on their calc, what exactly did you send to it to get it to work?
Thanks.

Ever notice that every time a new TI-89 assembly game with amazing graphics comes out, everybody posts help-me questions and problems they're having with the games? They are either too large, too buggy, require too many new librarys, etc. As a graphing calculator, the 89 is great. As a game machine, I think it causes too many problems for most people, what with the new ROM and hardware versions (at least with graphics and size-intesive games). That's why I'm grateful and satisfied with my 86. ;-)
Thank you for the games, TI-89 ASM programmers. It's just too bad that it's often such a pain in the butt to succesfully install and run them on the calc, as well as _keep_ them running (*CRASH*).
Thank you, Rusty, for VTI... :-)

yes , could be , but remember that Motorola 68000 is used in the Sega Genesis and the classic Arcade machines "-insert coins-" , like Street fighter 2 , Golden Axe , Knights of the round . All of them uses M68000 . But Wait ! Z80 is used for making the sounds , except for street fighter , i think it uses another M68000 . Try download MAME32 (Multi Arcade Machine Emulator for windows) this emulator has info of what processor is used in every game , and what speed . I know that street fighter 2 uses a 12Mhz processor
and Golden Axe uses a 10Mhz M68000 with a Z80 6 Mhz for playing sounds . OK
I have a problem with sonic , it seems work very well , but the background is totally buggy , you don't see clouds or trees , you see strange lines and deformed images ,
whats happening ?
