Clock and Pong v0.2 Beta for the 89

Two 89 ASM programs have been added recently of worthy mention:  I just thought this program was so stinking neat, I couldn't resist giving it a mention. A Clock that runs in the "tray" of the 89, next to where the history pairs appear. Yes, it's multitasking - you can do anything else you'd normally do on the 89 while it's running. It's "more or less accurate," according to the author, Arie Benichou. Its only drawback is that the only way to get rid of it is to either reset the calculator or to uninstall DoorsOS. In the screenshot, I'm changing the time using the arrow keys (it's shown at the bottom).
Secondly (and lastly), Florian Clavert has released an assembly version of Pong for the 89, called Pong v0.2 Beta. It has all the normal features you'd expect from a pong game, including AI play.

hey nice program does it continue to work when the calc is off?..... if so doesnt this drain the battery?
i remember somone made this for the 86 and it drained the battery fast.

Yeah, I wrote CTime for the TI-86, and it used about 200 times the normal power when turned off than it would normally use when off. However, on the TI-86, the interrupts that are used to update the clock are generated by the LCD screen (the part of the calc which needs the most power), so the LCD screen has to be on for the clock to be updated, even when the calculator is "off". On the TI-89, though, the interrupts are not generated by the screen, so the screen can be turned off and the clock can still be updated. If the processor is put in halt mode for most of the time, the clock will use up maybe twice as much power as usual when turned off as normal, maybe less.

Well.. DBA's clock is a real clock (DS12887A from Dallas Semiconductors)
It has its one battery...
And we've written a TSR :)
It's accurate and does not need batteries... And it's said to be Y2K compliant...

ok everyone, this really confuses me. DBA or whatever it is. i think its dba, but they have come out with like 3 or so of the most revolutionary programs, and we never hear anything about them really. there have been a couple of different news articles, but for some reason no one talks about themm.
between the oncalc compiler, the clock, and the archive utility,
i just feel its kinda funny that these are all really tough things that alot of people aren't sure how anyone could do this, and this group is making them all at the same time. we should really back this group, no it isn't games, but alot of utilities are worth it.

Did I read it correctly saying it doesn't ever allow the calc to turn off, instead making it clear the screen and appear to be off?
So it still uses battery power after shutdown?

Considering that I have had to clock on my calc for 2 hours now and that it is off by 5 minutes already leads me to believe that it is better described as "less accurate."
