Metroid 68K and BranchMap released
Posted by Travis on 8 October 2009, 07:03 GMT
Lach Asderity, author of 2007 POTY winner Super Mario 68K, has just returned with Metroid 68K, another faithful platform classic for the TI-89, TI-89 Titanium, TI-92 Plus, and Voyage 200. Its impressive grayscale graphics, expansive areas, and lots of monsters and power-ups will keep fans busy.
Meanwhile, Kerm Martian has released BranchMap, a nifty cross-platform development tool for analyzing Z80 assembly code. This Python script parses ASM source files and generates a graphical representation of program flow and stack usage in PostScript or PDF format.

Congrats to both of you. I'm lacking in 68K goodness to test with, but the screenshots look amazing.
I already tested BranchMap, and it pretty much does exactly what it says on the tin. Very useful for z80 development.

It looks like the TI scene is finally enjoying some sort of come back in terms of amazing program releases. I think the last time 5 programs or more were featured in one month was in October 2004
Congrats to both authors!
