how does the modified Testguard behave?

Not that this is unwanted, but the clock doesn't reset anymore after a RAM clear.

That's actually quite useful... I'll probably do my first OS upgrade now.

It's nice that the clock doesn't reset anymore... but I had a possibility to restore the clock even if you removed you batteries in Clock Hook 2.
I think I shall not update because it has push-to-test (I hate it when my co students activate it on my calculator) , I will try it on a emulator though.
I guess I'm stuck with 2.30 unless they do a really impressive update.

If you don't like Press-to-Test, then patch it out or use a program which blocks it. Protecting yourself from your fellow students' idiocy is different from cheating on tests.

Turn it off, hold down [5] and [8], then turn it back on (like LEFT+RIGHT+ON). [2] and [8] work, too. They allow you to delete all programs and Flash applications (except for a select few that it checks for by name and by 4 bytes at 4100h, like CtlgHelp, Conics, Inequalz, Transfrm, etc.). Part of this was in 2.41 as well.

I haven't found anything else yet, but I haven't looked very hard either.

What's the difference between clearing memory for Singapore and an ordinary clear?

Clearing it for Singapore also leaves a couple of language localization apps (Swedish and Finnish). How that's relevant, I'm not totally sure.

the new OS wont let me use some varibles so i cant use some of my programs but other than that its great so far

im sorry i should have tried more things on it before i reacted. i put some new batterys in and it works now.

Yes, please expand on that one...a less-functional OS doesn't sound like an upgrade...I'm glad I kept a copy of the previous version.

I prefer to have OS 2.30 because it doesn't have all them teacher lock features... but my 84+ took a dump and will not turn on anymore... I didn't beat TVF yet! (why I want an onboard 83-84 emulator for the 89)

arks2 is a program someone made for on calc arkive unarkive lock and unlock i may self have made a some what of a mod on his work imust say it look better than the origenal and i hope to post it vary soon.

Well, I downloaded and ran that program just fine on OS 2.43.

If you don't upload or mention your changes somewhere, no one's going to be able to figure out what the problem is...

What SPECIFICALLY did you change?

I'm trying to determine if something has changed between OS 2.43 and earlier versions, but if I don't have something to reproduce it with (meaning your changes), no one will be able to figure it out.
