I know Mac OS comes with a nice graphing calculator, that even does 3D and animation. IIRC theres a windows version of it out there somewhere.

yep, but this doesn't make you install anything, i still prefer the MacOS grapher

the free version is for Mac thier is a version that does more and works on both Mac and windows but it costs money.

This reminds me of the time I set up my 83+ to be remote controlled from the internet...people could graph anything they wanted and be secure in the knowledge that they were using a real TI-83 Plus.

But it was slow and stuff, so...yeah, this is nice. I've forgotten my calculator a time or two at school and desperately needed to graph something.

nice, you still have the code for that? Dial-Up or broadband? I tried using telnet 83+ after we got DSL and for obvious reasons couldnt get it to work.

That's insane! How exactly did you do it?

I wrote a C++ program that would sit and wait for keypress commands from the internet...when it received them, it would convert them to 83+ remote control packets and sent them through the graphlink cable (which would wake it up if it were off).

As far as sending those keypress commands...I wrote a PHP script and an interface which let you select the key to press and would also grab the LCD contents after each press.

That code might still be around somewhere, but it's pretty sucky, and I'm sure the script is gone.
