Mine will be when I fix a bug that occurs during a tie and check compatibility with the new xLIB.

sadly it did. a Basic programming contest should be pure Basic.

I seriously though it was pure at first. an xlib contest would be cool but not to compete against pure basic because xlib programs would pwn all pure basic ones with their grayscale scrolling graphics

it allowed all libs in a certain category.
# Routines:
You are allowed allowed to use routines for menus, collision detection, etc. that were written by another author, as long as you have documented permission and credit the author for these routines. GNU, GPL, and other Open Source routines will be accepted. There is a limit of 3 routines that were written by other author(s).
The following routines from assembly libraries can be used:
- Any sprite display routines. This does not include XLib's DrawTileMap routine.
- Any routines for Direct Input or other key input.
- Routines to turn the Run Indicator on and off. Use or nonuse of the Run Indicator will not be a factor in evaluating programs.
- Routines to Clear, Invert, or Blacken the whole screen.
The only assembly routines that can be used are those that have been uploaded to ticalc.org or unitedti.org as of the start of the contest.

I was surprised they allowed asm, but since graphics were being judged I downloaded ZSprite and figured out how to use it. :) It was my first time using a sprite routine. I had been preparing for pure basic too and was caught off-guard.

Yeah, but I didn't really like zsprite. It is nice, but since it requires using asm() it runs a little slow.

Yeah, but his entry doesn't require quick sprite displaying techniques and Zsprite doesn't take up as much space as an app.

I'll upload mine to UTI and ticalc once the bug mentioned in my score is resolved. (I never had it, but both the judges did)

This is offtopic but...

I noticed that a quadratic equation solver has been added to the archives. I thought these were now blocked. And what's really sad is it requires xLib to be installed and to picture variables.

I think it's supposed to be taken in the same spirit as WFRNG. But they stole Kevin's idea!!!
