TIGCC v0.95 Released
Posted by Michael on 27 October 2004, 18:49 GMT

The final version (after twenty betas) of TIGCC v0.95 has been released. You can read about the changes from v0.94 at the TIGCC website. The source code and "alternative files" are also available.

Update (Joey): The Linux/Unix binaries and source have been updated, too.

This makes me wonder if I should continue learning z80, or start using TIGCC... hmmm....

I'm not going to start programing for my 89T until my App for the 83+ is done to what I want it to be. Seeing as how I never get around to working on it, I probably won't start 89 programming for a while. >.<

TIGCC does not support the Z80 calculators.

I think he was trying to say:

I don't know whether I should keep learning z80 and not switch over to TIGCC ...or... I should stop learning z80 and switch over to 68k using TIGCC.

Exactly :)

I thought someone might say it didn't work for z80, but I didn't want to post twice in a row. :)

o_O;

/me bursts into tears.

Z80 ASM hurts so bad. I don't think I have the mental capacity to learn it. So until then I suppose I am confined to writing 15k BASIC RPGs. ;_;

Why don't you go learn 68K assembly?

You don't have to, I think we went over this. Either way, many people write them so that others will have them, not for themselves specifically.

If you wrote a good enough story line for an rpg for a calculator, i'm sure somebody would be willing to implement it for you (code it).

This really is a great achievement guys. Im sure that there are many people that appreiciate the work that has gone into this project ... not to mention the fact that it has attracted more people to the ti-68k platform :).

Good. Now I can really begin to work on my IDE port for Mac OS X, now that there is a mostly stable version to base it from.

The *nix version works on OS X, but it doesn't include an IDE. And even when it will, a Qt/KDE IDE under OS X will look like a mouse in a herd of elephants. :-)

Yeah. My Mac IDE will be essentially a pretty Aqua frontend for the *nix commandline program, at least at first.

If you haven't already tried out one of the betas, upgrade to v0.95 right away. The new linker along with all of the other new features fixes a lot of bugs and optimizes programs much better!
