TIGCC v0.95 Released
Posted by Michael on 27 October 2004, 18:49 GMT

The final version (after twenty betas) of TIGCC v0.95 has been released. You can read about the changes from v0.94 at the TIGCC website. The source code and "alternative files" are also available.

Update (Joey): The Linux/Unix binaries and source have been updated, too.

TIGCC v0.95 r2 for *nix

I have uploaded a new *nix release with the following tigcc frontend bugfixes:
* -v is now passed to GCC and ttpack.
* Added -v0 switch which does the same as the old -v did (except that it isn't passed to the linker either, it just shows the commands, as it does in the Windows release).
* -q no longer eats error messages. (I removed the dumb redirection and now pass the appropriate switches to the tools instead.)
* -Wa/-WA switches are now properly passed to each invocation of the respective assembler, not just the first.
It is already up at http://tigcc.ticalc.org/linux/ and pending in the upload queue here. (Sorry archivers, but it's not my fault. :-) I wasn't happy about the late bug report either...)

cool, this sounds really good - maybe we'll get some more great 3D games!! TIGCC is great for making game engines.

What I've been interested in recently has been integrating PC-based 3D modellers with the TI-89 calculator to produce 3D worlds on the calculator.

Sort of related is a contest going on right now on the forums at my website (click link above)
The idea is to be as creative as possible and build something from an arrangement of cubes - no experience required!

The prize is 1 Free GmAiL account - 1GB of space there ;)

The idea is to get people interested in 3D modelling/development and have some fun!

A gmail account is the prize? I'd be sort of surprised if people were still looking for invititations. I have six invitations to give out for mine... never got to use them yet. :\

And it's not quite 1GB of space... I believe it's actually just 1000MB.

Not according to hard drive manufacturers. They use the "real" meanings for the prefices "kilo", "mega", and "giga", as in 10^3, 10^6, and 10^9 instead of 2^10, 2^20, and 2^30, respectively.

Let's not argue semantics here, especially when most people have trouble filling up the 100mb old paid yahoo account. That 24 meg is negligible compared to the other 1000.

Help!
Nick Ness  Account Info

TIGCC 0.95 DOES NOT WORK,
when I try to compile my program, it makes a file *.z9x and *.zv2, and I've tried to transfer them to VTI and my calc, but it's always a transfer error
And when I compiled it with the old TIGCC 0.94 it worked just fine
help please

You're using the -outputbin option (in the IDE: "Output variable image without wrapper (binary mode)"). Don't.
