Nebulus for the 89
Posted by Michael on 20 June 2004, 18:09 GMT

[Nebulus]The classic ATARI/Amiga/C64/DOS game of Nebulus has been created for the 89/92+/V200. This scroller features the story of Pogo, a demolition worker who must destroy ocean-harming towers. Sound (through the link port) is an optional nice touch. As shown in the screenshot to the right, the graphics seem well implemented.

Update (Morgan): Ti-Gen has posted an article with some of the history of the game if you are unfamiliar with it.

<off topic a bit>
I never really used a TI-89, but I just bought the TI-89Ti, and I'm used to the 83+. On the 83+ all your programs were right there in a list when you pressed the "PRGM" button, but is there a way I can easily access all my programs in one list on the TI-89Ti? I put some race program on there and I have to type the following message on my homescreen in order to run it
race2()

but if I had like a dozen programs, then would I have to memorize a dozen little things to type in on the home screen? 'cause that would be annoying.

Yes.
Press 2nd and then - for "VAR-LINK"
There you can access all of your programs, pictures, data, lists, matrices, graphs, and everything on the calculator(except FlashApps I think, where you need to press APPS to get to). You can even create different folders to put things in.
Also, something you can't do on the ti-83 is put programs into flash memory, where I think the ti-89T has like 2MB of memory. In the var-link menu you highlight something, then go to manage, and click "archive variable" or you can first press F4 on many things to archive all of them at once.

You can easily access FlashApps from that menu. Go to the menu, it's in one of the F1-F5 keys. You can set it to view "FlashApps" or even both, I think. I'd give you the exact keys to press, but my TI-89 isn't up here *panic* and I'm not sure if VTI works on WinXP so I haven't tried to install it yet. But yes... you can see Flash Apps.

It works on WinXP Home. I SO want VPC for MacOS X, the sole purpose being to run VTI.

'Tis F7 ([2nd]+[F2]) and you can view all the variables created by the flask applications. However, as far as I can remember, it is rather useless, because you can do nothing with them. But I could be wrong, for I have not had a flash app installed on my 89 since I had some list editor installed (a long time a go).

The whole thing was off topic, so only a single tag was needed.

Somebody should make a 68k game that is similar to Mortal Kombat, or Killer Instinct!
By the way, HOW do you play Street Fighter II on a V200 with a 2.09 AMS?

Extended created a patch of the game which will work on ams 2.xx and, although I know it works with an 89/92+, I'm not sure if it functions on the v200. Nor could I give you a direct link to the patched version, but it is out there somewhere.

It's up at http://tiunderground.free.fr/ divers/sf2afc.zip (remove the space). (Note that the readme incorrectly claims that it won't work with h220xTSR, it was later found out that it works just fine.)
