Some French and Not-So-French 68k Programs
Posted by Michael on 5 May 2004, 08:14 GMT

[TIHex]TIHex for the 92+/V200 is a version of the famous game Hex. It supports two players on one calculator.

[Orage Shell]Vincent Corfdir has released Orage Shell for the 89, 92+, and V200. Orage Shell is a file explorer that provides an alternative way to manage the contents of memory and run programs. Both English and French versions are included for all three calculator models.

Francois Leiber has updated all of his programs with Voyage 200 versions. You can find them on his author page.

What do you do if you want to know whether it's light enough outside to go to the local electronics store? Your dilemmas are all solved with the Sun - Earth Illumination Simulator. Load it on your 92+ and you'll never have to worry about going outside again.

Thank you François. I love pretty much everything he makes, for the 89. What is really great about his programs is the graphics. He has a real flare at making good graphics.

I think his best work is Flib. It has really revolutionized 89/92+/V200 BASIC programming.

I must say, you seem surprizingly unfazed by the fact that just about everyone is spelling the name of your program wrong.

Or that he spelled the name of his own program wrong at least once :)

He spells the 89 version "Orage Shell" and the 92_/v200 version "Orange Shell."

nvm, I misread it. The 92+/v200 version is also spelled "Orage Shell."

Lol, he definitely would not misspell it, because it's his pseudonym, his email, his programming group, and more...

yeah, i agree. I also feel inclined to point out that it is orage shell, not orange shell. If it were orange, then it would probably be called orange peel...

lol.

Oh, well. I shall someday release the Sapphire OS GUI/Shell for PedroM, and it shall be better than all others. Although I seriously doubt it will actually be better than the shells already here. It never hurts to dream...

An 83 version of the orange shell would be cool. The graphics wouldn't be as good, though.

And the integral of e^(x^2) = J(x) + C where J(x) is defined as the integral of e^(x^2)...that's a theory of mine. Even the CALCULATOR won't tell you that much! ;)

Hehe. You must be joking?

Ain't it funny that a function is missing a primitive, but has a analytical result when integrated over a limited interval?

Int( exp(-x^2), -Inf, Inf) = sqrt(pi)

Is there even a way to solve for an integral of e^(x^2)? I wouldn't know how to do that one...

well, it would be the definite integral from 0 to x of e^(t^2) dt... that's really the only way to do it...
