Some More Programs
Posted by Michael on 9 March 2004, 23:25 GMT
There's been a huge influx of programs in the last few days. Everyone's favorite uber-elite author, Patrick Davidson, has released ZMercury for the 85 and 86. ZMercury is "a fast-paced, highly intense, shoot-em-up with horizontal parallax scrolling."
For something more constructive, there's Music Station by Paul Houser for the 89. Music Station is a flash application for writing and playing sheet music on your calculator. It uses the link port to output sound, either via headphones or an AM radio. This app was a runner-up in the 2003 TI App Contest.
Are you feeling a bit sluggish? Synapse Accelerator for the 89 will make those neurons fly with its reflex and memory-strengthening action.

More games is always good. More news is, by the same token, also always good.

If you actually try writing music with music station, you will see how useless it really is. You can't go above high C, there is no key signature or time signature, and each time that you want to make a new note, you have go through all the pitch, length, and modifier menues. I give it a 3/10.

Yeah it's easy to skip past all the new files since so many were added. It's great that you mention these to us.
