SOS v1.6 released
Posted on 25 October 1998, 07:34 GMT
Joe Wingbermuehle has released SOS v1.6 for the TI-83. This version comes with a new and improved interface, optimizations (now only 775 bytes, 697 bytes needed to run), modified way of running BASIC programs, and the ability to rename prgmA to whatever you want. Joe also released SOS Keys v1.6 and Diamonds v1.9 for SOS as well.

SOS is the best shell for the 83! Go on joe!...
It would be cool if there were 2 versions one with program groupings, delete function, memory lock... and a lite version just like the current one...
Once again, good work Joe!!!

Yeah i agree with Geoffrey. It would be better if there were two versions of the program. Because there are some people who don't have graph links and they get programs from other people and they have no way of keeping it if a teacher wants to erase their memory. So it would be nice to have two versions.

I like the Sos 1.6 release, but why did Joe have to delete the invert routine (used in diamonds 1.8) from Zlib? The interface is a lot like CrASH 1.55. Keep going Joe!

I agree with all of you guys but since I don't have the Graph link yet I have to type it in.
But a problem came up, I came across the command "<<82:PrintScreen>>" ; I have no idea how too type that in nor what it means. E-mail me if you can help.
(I would have the Graph like if they made them a little faster, they ran out of them)
