I have been waiting for a long time for a Scorched Earth remake that I can play on my TI-89 Titanium, and finally it's here.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are very nice, but I think that clouds could easily be added in the background to make things look a little less dull. Perhaps even have the clouds moving in relation to the wind? Besides the lack of any background, I don't have any problem with the graphics.
Ease of use: 10/10
It is very easy to play the game and navigate the menus. I don't really have anything bad to say here at all. Great job.
Port: 9/10
As far as attempts to port Scorched Earth to a TI calculator, this would have to be the best I've ever seen. Obviously some of the weapons from the original game are not included, but this is unfinished. The AI plays very much like that of the original game, although it's annoying that there aren't many difficulty levels yet. If the author keeps doing the same quality work that they've already done, this will quickly become my favorite calculator game.
Fun: 10/10
The most important part of any game review is telling whether or not the game is fun. I can honestly say that this is probably the best calculator game out there currently. Anyone who has played the original Scorched Earth (or anyone who has played Worms) will instantly fall in love with this excellent port of a classic game.
The verdict: 10/10
Great job! Keep up the excellent work.
