Upcoming TI-83 Electronics "Suite"
sir_mud Account Info

I have been working on a few programs to simplify the life of anyone that has to do calculations for electrical circuits. So far it consists of three seperate programs that are all interconnected for simplification. This project is very near to completion. Some features include: Complete Ohm's Law Solver, Shunt Resistance Solver, Peak-RMS-Average Solver, Sine Waveform angle Solver, Oscilloscope Solver and many more. The program is very easy to just pick up and use, so it will require little to no documentation. At the moment I do not own a Calc to PC or Calc to Calc link cable so I will probaly wait until I can get one before I publish this. If there is a high demand, I may type it out...but it has got kind of large for that.

No more thinking required....
Ryan Bennett  Account Info

i'm in the process of making a great BASIC math program for the 83/83+. it will fullfill all of the needs for a geometry/algebra/trig student. it will include such features as automatic window sizing, a notes/assignment section, easy-to-use organized menus, and all the formulas you could ever need. if there is anything specific you would like to see in this program email me at eqzg41b@prodigy.com and let me know. REMEMBER: this is a BASIC program, so it may eat up some space. i will release 4 versions, seperate geo, alg, and trig programs, and one giant, collective one. they should be done in one to two monthes due to the fact i only program in study hall.

I wrote a program like this. It won me 2nd (and an army bond) in a state science fair, so its some good stuff you're working with there... Listen, if you've got MIRAGEOS, you can put B.A.S.I.C programs on there by entering this line of code at the beginning of your B.A.S.I.C code:
::"{prgmnameofyours}
:{Code}
, but, how do you write ASM programs for real instead of trying to make a fake looking one that isn't really that good looking (in B.A.S.I.C)? Can you do it from an 83+ for example, or do you need some fancyspancy emulator?

I'm always adding to my large B.A.S.I.C math program too. I call it ALGOPS, and I'm 20% done with TRIGOPS. If any of you guys want someone to test a random program, I'll be glad to do it. Ticalc is my HOMEPAGE.

For example, I just wrote a logarithm simplifier that rounds the answer to three decimal places, graphs it, and shows the table of values. I just popped it into ALGOPS and it works fine, but only after two people uncovered about 3 bugs in it!

Formulae Version 5.00
Saba
(Web Page)

Right now i'm converting formulae into assembly from its huge basic counterpart. The current basic (and futer assembly) version features:
-Mathematics - Area, Volume, Total Surface Area, Capacity, Pythagorus Theorem, Algrebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Gradient, etc.
-Science - Some acceleration, distance and velocity
-Commercial Studies - All forms of interest and dividend Payments
-Geography - Vertical Exageration, Gradient and a cross-sectrion generator
-Convertions - A whole bunch of weight, temparature and disatance converters
-Terminal - Never leave the program. This allows you to solve everything from within the program.
And some other stuff I forgot. Now you see why i'm converting this all to assembly!

Hi , I have written a program that solves for three variables.I was considering making a gui out of it to make it more user friendly, but I need asm to do It effectively e-mail me if you can tell me a good place to get asm info, want to see my program, have a question, comment or want to help me.

Pythag83 for ION
MikeisGame  Account Info
(Web Page)

Yea, k i'm porting Pythag83 for ION on the 83/83+ Calculator... It is mostly to save space and to be able to run it under the ION shell because ION doesn't support running basic programs right now. If you would like to know what the complete Pythag83 Package has click on the webpage button for URL. Most updates will eventually only be on ION

StatKit 82
Daniel Bishop  Account Info

I am writing a program similar to the Statistics Toolkit (83\basic\math\stattk.zip) for the TI-82. It will emulate most of the 83's statistics functions.

btw, why is it necessary for TI to make ten different graphing calculators?

I'm currently working on a program for precalc. this program will have things such as axioms, definitions, formulas, formula solvers, etc. This will take a while though, since I am trying to make the user interface as friendly as possible. I target date of finish will be sometime in August. I'll post updates later. :)

Algebraic simpifyer and equation solver
Soren_Petersen  Account Info

I'm working on a ti-83 program that can simplify any kind of algebraic expressions and solve a lot of different equations and equeationsystems.
The idea isn't new but the difference is that this prog should be able to parse the input string and determine what kind of equation it is and then give the answer.
The program should also be able to solve a variable for a given formula.

I have just started with prototyping the datamodel using phyton so it will take some time before the releas of a working ti-83 program but i expect to releas an alpha version within two months. If anyone is interested in helping me to test it or have any coments / questions then mail me or post a reply.

Is anybody working on a symbolic manipulator for the 83? I know it's a lot to ask, but it would be really cool.

I have a program that is almost ready...it uses newton's method to find the zeroes of any function...just enter equation into y1, give it a starting point, and u can watch the guesses.

Newton's method fails for functions like the cube root of x, square root of x, etc. I'm not being critical of your work, just pointing out a deficiency of the algorithm. Good job anyway.
