OK- First let me say I graduated High School with a 3.522, which when "rounded to the nearest letter grade" is an A a verage since 3.5 rounds to 4.
Kudos to whoever said they failed! Studying or other habits aside, it takes some serious guts to admit failing. At my high school, people would say they got far better grades than they did, so standard practice was to subtract two-tenths to get the real GPA.
BTW- yes that is my real GPA, down to the thousandth.
(Curses upon Physics Honors for lowering it!)

Yeah, I'm a freshman, and in Algebra 2. That means that my JUNIOR year I will be taking AP Calc, and Senior-God knows what.
But, I'm not alone, there are 3 other freshmen in that class, and one 8th grader. No kidding, he just happened to escape government-funded iletaracy mills for the past 7 years, having been home-schooled and private schooled before.
And, I do know how to spell illiteracy, I just purposly misspelled it for effect.

Our math system in school is messed up. For Pre-calc, you can take either 3 1-semester courses(Trig, Elementary Functions, and Analit. Geom.), and then possibly Discreet math, though it isn't required. Or, another option is just taking a year-long Pre-calc course, but not many people choose that option, because they are scared into the 3 classes by teachers who tell them that they aren't going to do well in Calc if they just take the year-long course.
