I voted that I made my own, assuming that function-graphing programs count (at least for the graphing part). One of them let you input a function & bounds at run time & draw on the plot using the mouse, which seems close.

For calculating, I find myself mostly using a Haskell interpreter (& wishing there was a good one for either the TI-84 Plus CE or the TI-89).

Same! I have a TI-84 Plus and a TI-84 Plus CE. The TI-Basic Language is the best and all I really care for!

For a long time, TI was the only graphing calc line I used. I was a bit curious about the HPs based on what I had heard about them, but never had an opportunity to get one for many years. When I found an HP 50g in Best Buy back during the late 2000s, I grabbed one and found it was awesome for programming, going steps beyond anything I had experienced on TI calcs. So, HP is technically my favorite now. Unfortunately, 50g is discontinued, and I have mixed feelings about the Prime. It lacks the highly keystroke-efficient UI of the 48/49/50 series as well as some of the customizability and flexibility, and it feels less polished and refined.

I recently heard about NumWorks, and the idea of a moddable open-source hardware and software platform is intriguing to me. I don't yet know much about it, though.

Numworks is very cool. I invested in one some time ago and I’m very happy with it. There is an in browser emulator available if you’re interested and it ships with a stripped down build of micro python. The numworks website has tools for updating the OS firmware and both managing your library of micro python scripts as well as uploading them. I think you still need chrome and its included usb driver or whatever to use the in-browser tools, but it’s worth installing a second browser for if you use a different primary browser.

The screen quality is a bit... meh, and the backlight is somehow too harsh even while being set too low to read the screen clearly, which is baffling.

The open source Epsilon operating system is amazing, and the STM32 Microprocessor that drives the device is insanely powerful sporting a full fledged 32 bit ARM core, much like the HP Prime and TI-NSpire series.

It seems to be accepted on all the same exams as any calc with a CAS, as well, and the test mode is well implemented.

I’m absolutely blown away by the openness of the platform. We have the ability to iterate on both the hardware and software of the Numworks platform. First step, better screen :P

Personally I prefer HP over anything else if I am not going for a TI. I find the format Casio calculators use to put out decimals to be inconvenient.

as for me, HP has the most convenient devices. And...can't do anything with my mind - those ones give me so nostalgic old-fashioned vibes!

I'd have to say, I started out 8 years ago with TI, and it will always be my favorite. If I did need a different brand, I'd probably pick Casio, though. :)

Definitely! Casio was my first and I thought its language was awesome, but now I found TI-84, and it's a lot better!

I replied other because my favorite non-Ti calculator I own is an Elektronika Mk-52. Not for any practical reason, but because of how unique it is compared to many western calculator designs, and also because of it's interesting history as arguably the start of the Eastern European programming scene (search, "Eggeggology" for more on that).

never owned anything other than a TI for graphing calculators, but I had a Casio calculator watch for years, and it served me better than even my current smart watch does for the purposes of timekeeping and mathematics.

My favorite non-TI graphing calculator is the Shrigtummer 93 graphing calculator. I love how it looks exactly like a strange goblin with long fingernails that have green ooze leaking from them instead of a traditional calculator. He is staring through my window.
