TI-83+ BE: Parents bought it for me

TI-83+ SE: Sold my BE plus some other stuff on eBay, and used that money (plus an extra $10) to buy a TI-83+ SE

TI-nSpire CAS: Received at the USA Biology Olympiad training camp

I never figured out why someone might need an nSpire CAS for olympiad-level biology (which is only first/second year of undergrad biology), but hey, TI sponsors the competition, so why not ...

The first calculator I had was a christmas gift and it was a TI-83+, which at the time was brand spanking new. It was stolen from me a couple years later.

Then I bought a TI-89 with my first paycheck from my very first job I ever worked, which was Sonic Drive-In.

F*CK SONIC!

Sorry.

I dropped it a few times and the communications port stopped working, TI opted to fix it for me for free even though my warranty had long expired. I still have the refurbished model they sent me.

One year it stopped working. The ON button became sticky, it was hard to depress and it made an unhealthy *click*.

I was ready to send it in to pay for repair this time. The day I was going to put it in the box to ship to the company for repair I noticed a white film on the bookshelf where I had it. When I opened the battery case I saw the white substance on everything. I took a clean towel and wiped it all off, and I had to shake the calc to get knock some of it out of the case. When I put fresh batteries in it, it turned on for the first time in ages. I guess the batteries had leaked.

The TI-89 still works very very well.

I later acquired a stolen TI83 from a friend who thought I was just going to load up some games for him.

Where's the "your poll is two months old, change it" choice?

They would change the poll when they are ready; there would not need to be an option in any poll for the choice.

I got my 84 before high school (first year they came out), my parents bought it for me.

However, last day of high school, the kid next to me gave me his TI 83+ because apparently he had no more use for it and was looking to get rid of it. So I got a free 83+ :)
