I would take over the domain and run it responsibly. I'd first get to work on the HUGE wait in the upload queue.

Hmm... If they suddenly disappeared, I probably wouldn't notice for about 3 months, assuming it didn't show up on the news. That's also assuming I didn't notice the huge militant crowd of geeks marching on Sweden. I think that'd tip me off. And quite frankly, when a militant crowd invades a country, you're either with them, or against them. Dare I find myself in opposition to an army so determined and disgruntled, with loaded graphing calculators, no doubt holstered at the belt, ready to wage war? I dare not.

So in the aftermath of the war, whether we found the staff as prisoners of some secret Swedish crime syndicate hoping to ransom them for some really crazy demands, or we didn't find them, maybe... in any case, in the aftermath, I wouldn't really be able to help rebuild the site. I mean, I'm a pretty busy student, and I already took off at least a week to help the invasion. So I'd go home and probably forget about the whole thing by the next day, and check back here four months later to find the site under new management, and then I'd hop onto the latest poll and go "remember that time..." and I'd get flamed off for being three and a half months late on the story.

Depressing thoughts.
Please don't disappear, guys.

I think I would keep checking for updates on a daily basis for about 5 years. Then, one day, I would be forced to realize the truth and return to reading slashdot.
