Almost all of the sites I frequent use Google ads. I do not find them annoying. I very rarely click on them, but occasionally something good does come up, & the rest of the time I do not even see them. It is just like the sound of an air conditioner - you learn to ignore it.

I would much rather have ads than have to pay to use the site or have it go away.

I often click on Google Ads. Not because I find them interesting, but to help the webmaster in an easy way. I can close the openned site in a few seconds - it doesn't disturbs me and the webmaster can make some money. If everybody would think so, it would be easier to survive. But then probably nobody would use AdWords. How's stupid?!

I do not mind the ads at all. They are needed, so let them be. As was said by other people, I don't really notice the text ads.

I hate ads in general, because they make it take longer for pages to load when I'm on a computer that doesn't have broadband. Text ads like these are okay, as long as they don't get any more obtrusive, but I can see them turning people off of using this site.

Well, new visitors to ticalc.org won't really be surprised--ticalc.org is just joining almost every other page on the web and doing ads.

And, if we do it, right, old visitors won't really mind either (the pool seems to indicate that this is the case.) And that's why we're playing around with it and asking for feedback---we don't want to scare all of you off. :-)

Who would be dumb enough to vote for "give me more" ... ads are not good to have ... only use ads when they are needed ... in this case they are needed so it is fine with me ... no more ads ... this is a great website ... do not ruin it by posting ads everywhere ... ticalc has been doing a good job putting ads in places where they are not as annoying.

how much money does ticalc get when I click an ad?

I probably would not have noticed them, I only come here to upload or download, which are pretty rare.

Is there anyway you could partner with Texas Instruments and only advertise with them? These other links to advertisements take you to a but of crooked websites. See if Texas Instrument would only advertise on this site.

Anyone who has a problem with the adds should consider: Are you willing to DONATE the money to keep the site running? I hate to spill the beans on the best-kept secret around, but running a website like this one is not free. Put up or shut up.

Well, I would donate. . . but I'm in college, which means I have no spare money. . . but, I do plan to donate when I have the cash flow to support it. . .

they are NOT intrusive and if u really need them, the way u have3 them is fine
