I've had my 89 for six years :)

I got my 83+ for almost 4 years (July 4th 2001) and got my SE more than 3 years ago (Feb 2002)

I still remember the old days of Ion 1.4 an my TI-OS 1.12 :)

I got mine in November 2003 and had OS 1.13 on it.. I never got Ion.. I'm a Mirage addict :D

I think I've had mine for 2 or 3 years, it shipped with OS 1.15 but I didn't actually get my silverlink until recently so I never used Ion.

Hmm, I think my 83+ had 1.08 on it. It was either 1.10 or earlier but I think I once had to "upgrade" to 1.10. ;-P
Only then could I use a remote control program. Nowdays they're too buggy.

Hey its way off subject but does anybody know how to get Dan Whales "on block to work" It is probably because im not using it correctly but as far as I can tell it is not doing anything.

I have a TI-83 Plus for almost two years now. Just one year before the TI-84 Plus came out! :(

I had TI-OS 1.15 on it and some very simplistic BASIC-programs on it. The first game on my calc was P0ker by D. Gardner. :)

Later I messed around wih Ion and I was one of the first who had real ASM games on the calc. Since I've got that calc I have been the 'calc expert' in my class... Heheh! ;)

hmmm... i put the time of the oldest... i have some calcs.... i think my TI-83 plus is the oldest... lets see... i buy it on my 8º year of school... i'm in 2º on university.. 8-9-10-11-12-1-2 ... 7 years (really old now i think on it).... hmmm... my TI-89 is my current calculator... i borrow the TI-83 to my sis... my TI-89 has ... 5 years i think...

This question should be more like how long have you owned a graphing calculator. I owned a ti83+ for a year. After somebody stole it I bought an 84+se. So I answered 2years because they are basically the same thing, but I guess technically I only have owned it for 1 year.

My first graphing calculator was a HW2 89. I got it in the fall of 2002 and used it until the spring of 2004. Then, the batteries ruptured and shorted, rendering my calculator a retarded mess. The basic functions will work okay, but use any program, especially a Flash one, and it will seize up like an engine with no oil being run at 8000 rpm. Total meltdown, black bar and all, must remove ALL batteries for 60 seconds to reset.

I got a Voyage 200 for $10 more than an 89 after that and have been using it ever since. It gets heavy use in my engineering classes and gets a lot of "whoa, what's THAT?" comments by people with TI-89 Titaniums. I like the bigger screen.

Your suggestion still implies "a graphing calculator". So you'd take into account the calculator you've had the longest.

Well there in you're fact lies a problem :(. TI-84 Plus and the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition havent even existed for a year yet. :).

If you want to get technical:

I owned my 83+ from Sept 2003-Jan 2005. I have owned my 84+se since then. So I guess the year on each was a bit of a stretch, but by school years it's pretty much been a total of 2 years. :)

I own a TI-89 (HW1) and a TI-92 Plus. My first TI graphing calc was a TI-92 (HW1) that I bought in 1995. In 1998, I sold it on eBay and used the money to purchase my TI-89. I bought two TI-92 Plus at a flee market for $30. One of which does not work.

Does anyone need some spare TI-92 Plus parts?

I also own two Casio fx-6300G that I bought in 1990. It is probably the coolest graphing calc Casio ever made. It has 400 bytes of user memory and 40x25 pixel graph screen. I programmed a fully functional BASIC version of Scorched Earth using 390 bytes.

Finally... This one may really date me... I still own my Tandy Pocket Scientific Computer PC-7. If I remember correctly, I bought it back in 1984.

I'd be interested in some spare 92 parts. I have a friend with a broken one.
