that was a pretty good joke, seeing how many people it affected to the point where wow they need anger management therapy and take a few seconds to realize its a little prank, whoa

It got some people really angry, even though they where told over and over it was an April fool's joke. I think it went pretty good. I wasn't fooled though, some other site's had done april fool's joke's too so I knew that it was. But if I hadn't seen anything else, you would have had me.

Here's the way I can tell: If it posted in the wee hours of April 1st, and it suggests a drastic change to Ticalc, or if it has some wild/unlikely story. Gurenteed April Fools.

I always look forward to the Google's April Fool's joke.. Google Gulp was pretty good this year, especially the "privacy policy." Doesn't compare to the Pigeon PC's though :)

I was fooled for about 10 seconds before I realized how unlikely it was. Still, I think that it would be a good idea; many BASIC (although not all) programs are crap.

Yea. As I said in the forum on the news topic, this site is supposed to be an archive of great tools and achievements made by programmers and not a web based external storage system for every little program you make.

I was fooled too until I saw a post explaining it was April 1st. This was the only joke that I did not catch myself that day.

I wasn't fooled, though it was a tad more convincing (maybe to people who weren't here for April Fools' last year, anyway) due to the survey being related to the article. Though I still think selling stock was better...

As far as fake news in general I liked the next 100 years layout:

As far as April Fools, I think the micropayments one was the one that I truthfully actually believed.
