I voted "Five months after death, when my last file is processed posthumously", which is pretty much "never".

Hey just take what you get and stop complainin, I was sure I covered all bases considering I went to 5 months after death. It after all is pretty hard to be apart of a community if you have passed on!!

*some thing can be said for 84+SE. They seem to be slowly allowing us to use any calc, but not until next year. No offense, but it was all thanks to Omnicalc.

Probably Not the 92. Most exams don't allow Calcs with the Qwerty keyboard (92,92+,V200)

Why is it an outrage? First of all, why would you even buy the V200/92(+) when there's the 89? It has everything they have, except the larger screen (and the extremely small "keyboard"). If you are gonna say "because of the bigger screen," then you need to seriously think about this: If you got the calc for the bigger screen, then you most likely wanted the bigger screen for the games. So, when are you going to start complaining that they won't let you use your gameboy on the test?

It has a very big advantage with games...

My point was that if you get it for the games, don't complain when you can't use it for the math...

Well, "I will never retire" is really only an option for me, since I plan on merging myself with the server. Hopefully I won't be the bottleneck in processing, that would hurt my pride :\

I suppose for me, it will be when I get into college. I bet I'll have a lot less free time then so I won't hang around here as much (my free time is already decreasing with harder classes in high school). However, "retire" could be taken more than one way. If by retire, you mean to stop publishing programs for calculators, then I've already done that, more or less. (I just keep all the stuff I make to myself) If you mean leaving entirely, then the answer is when college comes around.

That isn't to say that you'll never see me again. As much as some of you would like to get rid of me (:-)), I'm sure I'll drop by every now and then to post a comment when I get the chance. I mean, I've been coming here since I was 12. I have a bunch of great memories of the stupid stuff I did (*coughPARADE!cough*), so completely leaving the site and never coming back might be impossible.

w00t! Parade! Those were the good ol' days, all right. You and I and rctParrotHead and Lord_Nightrose flaming each other... :D

I probably will never quit, since I keep finding cool projects to work on, and it takes me forever to finish the ones that I have.

kerm, dude I am amazed by the amount of progress you've made (against all odds!) in your calculator endeavors since I last checked out your stuff. Keep up the great work! You have pretty cool stuff & some great ideas.

I am presently pretty much retired from the TI community. I programmed a few basic progs, a few Assembly, wrote a few tutorials and now i guess my time's done with that. I'm on to the big gunz now (PC coding) - where the money is ;)

Ticalc is a still an interesting read now and then though.

*laughs* Yeah, Kerm, you have come a long way. :-D Remember the original TI-BASIC DoorsXP? Hehe, that's okay though, just look at some of the awful programming in my author profile. I remember when I was so proud of that BASIC Baseball game I made. Ahh yes, those certainly were the good ol' days.

On the flip side, programming for BASIC stuff, even though it was bad, did give me a nice "boost" into more complex things outside of the calculator spectrum.

Yeah, those BASIC programs did help me to realize the limitations of the language and prompt me to move onto ASM. Would you believe that I have a completely-assembly Doors CS 5 release nearly ready? Remember this:

It sounds like it's some huge shell and then at the end, you realize it's all BASIC (and of course, almost none of that is possible in BASIC). Then you eventually did get the mouse to work and I didn't believe it at first, lol. I was kinda rude with the flaming...

Speaking of which, I don't think I ever apolgized to Michael Vincent for all the stuff I said way back then about the post deletion. I was really immature. So, I'll take this time now to publicly retract all the brainless statements I made because I do feel bad about that. Thinking back, I'm actually surprised I was never banned. I made more spam than anybody else here. So thanks for putting up with my stupid childish behavior. You can be sure I'll never do that again.

I've been doing lots of Linux C programming lately. Am working on learning raw assembly. (Converting it into hex for Exec "4E444E750000" using my M68000 manual during class, that's how _real_ men do it.)

For the curious, that statement executes trap number four, which allows you to turn off the calculator from a basic program.

Of course, that's on a M68000 calc (89/92 series).

Our district is using Websense and ticalc.org isn't blocked also... come to think of it, I bet I'm the only one at my school who visits ticalc.org :P And I will stay with you guys for as long as I can :)
