Actually, I'm not surprised that you said that, considering the readme for the Wacky Fun Random Number Generator. :-)

120 is the decimal form of LOL! LOL!= (lol)! = (101)! which in binary is (5)! = 120.

LOL without the "!" is LOL = 101 = 5.

Just to make things weirder, we should start saying "120d".

I know this is stupid, but I just sent a letter to news@ticalc.org to put the comments "120d or 5d" in their next news column.

Now, that deserves a big 120d...!!!(ellipsis so you won't have to do the factorial :-])

Hahaha! Really? That's great! 120d You think they'll do it? :-D

For the past week, I've been saying "120d" to all of my friends, rather than LOL! They all just think I'm weird. (And they're right ;-)) Hehe

Well, I just got a reply and all it said was "read."

I'm a little slow so I emailed him back and asked what in the heck that means. I'll tell you later... or just look for news... hopefully.

Maybe it means they read your e-mail? Like an auto-reply?

Or, it could be an imperative sentence commanding you to read something. But I think they would have specified what they wanted you to read if that were the case.

Um.... I'd say it's the first thing; that they read your e-mail.

You idiots. All you've done is reabbreviated a stupid abbreviation. LOL is bad enough, you've taken it to an entirely worse level. What are you, high school freshman?

No, he sent an email back and said:

I am teh 1337est of the 1337
no_one_2000_  Account Info
(Web Page)

*gasp*

1337=leet=elite

It's the special way of writing (13375p34k), replacing numbers (and sometimes symbols, depending on how crazy you are) for letters. It also typically involves misspelling a lot of words and a bunch of exclamation marks.

PH33R M3 F0R 1 \/\/1L| H4X0R J00 N00B W17H M13 1337 5K1LZ!!!!!!1111 J00 H4\/3 /\/0 <H4N$3 70 53RV1V3 M4K3 Y00R 713M!!!!!!!111oneoneeleven

I'm sure you've seen it before ;-)

As an adjective, though, 1337 is mostly used as a positive word to describe something related to hacking, nerds, computers, or anything just overall that's good. (i.e. "I am a 1337 h4x0r", "This program is 1337!", or "Linux is so 1337, it r0x0rz my b0x0rz!", etc.)

It's also quite frequently used in gaming.

Anyway, that was my 00000010b cents. That should clear everything up ;-)

"1337"-speak has absolutely nothing to do with hackers (real ones anyway). It's something idiot "warez d00dz" use. See link.
