What is the difference between

"Elementary School" and "Still in Elementary School"?

Level of education == *completed* level of education.

If you're still in Elementary, you haven't completed it :)

I will be a senior in college come fall. I wish this poll had such an option for currently in college but it didn't so I voted for having completed highschool.

I was confused by the very same thing. However, I chose MSc. After all, I'll have it in my pocket in three years. :)

You do the same when you apply for work? Say you have an degree you don't have because you _could_ have it if you just wanted to and spent some time on it.

I think this time my poor English comprehension skill is the one to blame...

The survey is about your COMPLETED education, not something you don't have in your hand yet.

Hmmm. I got confused about the "Current level of education", a I thought it ment what you are currently taking in terms of schooling (e.g. I am in high school) versus having a degree.

I felt it was pretty obvious that it is what level of education you have, that is, have completed. You don't have your high school education if you are doing your last year in high school. Until you are finished you have nothing. Doesn't matter if there is just one week left, you still don't have completed that level of education until you have the degree/diploma in your hand.

I finally understand what you mean, as the same goes with a college degree, a postgraduate degree, etc.

Oh... so, since I'm going into 10th grade, it means that I shouldn't have put High School? Oops...

School education, now there's an oxymoron.
It could quite easily be missinterpreted as what education are you currently in (which is the usual question), as apposed to what qualifications do you have (although this wouldn't work too well due to differences between countries and lack of qualifications before finishing high school).

That is what I gathered. So that is what I voted for. But I still think it is confusing as most are in highschool and will vote for being in highschool: Not for having completed middle school.

I just got out of middle school and I got away from the worst teachers ever. My older cousin says the new high school is great, so I'm looking foward to go to it after summer break. Not to mention they are giving C++ and visual basic courses. No C or ASM though, I was looking foward to it to (wanna program something good for the ti calcs for once.) Now, like almost every other poll, I'm gonna change the subject a little. What did you think of your teachers that you A) Had before summer break B) Having Now or C)Had during your school years. Like I said before, I just got away from the worst teachers ever.

Just graduated high school...took my ACT, and made a 30, so i get into college for free! :)

sorry...been finding an excuse to brag about it wherever i can. :-D

i got a 31 on the act in april and i retook it earlier this month but i haven't got my score yet. hopefully i'll get around a 33.

The system is a little wierd in this corner of the world, where the order is (Elementary of course) High School, College (aka CEGEP), then University. I finished CEGEP, which is the equivilant of Grades 12 and 13 in the States.

there is no grade 13 in the states.
