Good. We need more surveys, though I bet the outcome will be about 90% yes. The other 10% will be sarcastic joking people. :)

And while I'm at it, I think that 12 or more surveys is a good thing. The more, the better. I think the more constant updates of the site, the more commonly people will view it. That's just my observation.

Yeah, another example of that was when we started getting more news. A lot more people came, and more frequently.

Hey, you didn't write any of the javascripts on your site! You copied them all!

Maybe it stands for something... like the capitilized letters of each word form something else... nah, never mind.

I'm soooooooo sad about my TI-89... most likely, I'll find it, but still.... I'm lonely!

Yep, that's the way it is for most people. More updates cause more checking up on the website.

Great idea, have a flood of surveys that only the most frequent visitors get to participate in. I'm not complaining, it's just that people like me end up missing a lot of them.

I think more is better, but it would be even better if they ran multiple polls at the same time. Each poll could have a timeout delay where people could still vote, and only the most current poll would be on the home page. If you look at the archives, it even lists the status of the polls (of course only the top one is active). I would rather they stay active at least a week, even if they're not on the home page. Anyway, just an idea.

I think the more surveys, the better so TIcalc.org can find out what people think. 12 per month might be the max, though.

True... you have to see everybody's opinion, and as you said down there, I'm also curious about why one person voted no (my possible explanation may be incorrect). Maybe they really didn't want 12 surveys in a month... who knows? It's much better than that Survey Crisis of '01 or whatever (lol)

They didn't update the poll for a really long time. It's really fuzzy in my memory, since I didn't post a lot then. Barrett was talking about it a while ago, if I recall...

And almost everyone in the accounts database voted on it. (Or they should have; they had three months to do it in!)

i agree, i hardly ever check up on ticalc, and i like polls, but i'll bet that if they are changed daily, or even every other day, the total voters numbers will be terrible..

The funny thing is... everybody was getting all worked up about it. Nobody really came to the conclusion of "You can be happy with your OS and I can be happy with mine!" They (no... "we") just faught :)

It would be REALLY cool if ticalc.org had a daily survay :)

Maybe they should recycle some of the previous survays from the beginning of the site...

Is it just me, or is everybody starting to spell survey with an 'a'? ;-) You'd think it would be "survay" because it has an "ay" sound to it... English is a weird language.

Anyhoo, they have recycled some previous ones. Like the age... it was a recycled one, wasn't it? I am predicting in my head what the next one will be. :)
