well ya. I thiink most everyone here who has a calc and goes to school plaps games on it durring class. At least I do thats one of the reasons i got it.

But anyhoo, I use mine everywhere. On the bus, at school, in bed, during tests (even non-math, hehe), during class, between classes, in the bathroom (sometimes)...

I can say that I've used my calculator in all of those places as well.

I could say I've used mine all those places too...but I'd be lying...I don't ride the bus to school :)

I don't remember writing something unacceptable. I just said that I'm using the caluclator at school and I'm planning to buy an 89 for college. Why was my post removed?

I use it whereever. When I'm out somewhere and I have a limited amount o money to spend, BAM! When I need to factor something out, BAM! Just whenever, you know? (games are fun, too) Oh yeah, I'm a freshman @ Northgate.

What kind of world has it become when frosh use graphers? (I'm a junior, and I got it this year.) Unless they are taking Algebra II, they don't need them. Last year, a friend of mine (well, several classmates) got 83+s ... But they either took Geometry frosh year or both Geometry and Algebra II at the same time (in retrospect, I should have too, but math homework in two subjects? *shiver*).
My cousin is in 8th grade, and he got an 83+... We weren't even allowed usinf 4-functioners in 8th grade!! (Unless it was some sort of in-class project or something...) But I used one for homework cuz I'm good at that stuff, why bother doing 326181 / 2872 the long way if you know how and just want to get it done...

Sigh...

I used the TI-82's grapher since 5th grade. Are you saying 9th graders are too stupid to use them? *cry*

And what do you mean they don't need them? *egak* You COULD do everything by hand (you don't _NEED_ it for trig), but WHY!?

No, I'm not saying frosh are stupid. And I posted that before I knew no_one was a frosh.

I also know more than my math teacher... :)

I'm in 8th grade, and I use the 83+...

of course, I'm taking math 10 enriched, but a lot of people I know have the 83+ or 83+ se (and one 8th grader who has the 83)

they use them mainly for games, of course...
