YES!! this effect is cool, BUT it damages your LCD crystals !!!!!!
Just by seeing the effect (happened in a couple crashes, intentional and
not) I was sure that it wasn't doing any good to my screen. so when it
happened I tried to take it off as soon as possible ... then once, a friend
of mine crashed his calc and got those blue lines, he wasted about a minute
finding me to show me, I told him it was bad, took his batteries out, stuck
em in again pressed [ON] the screen got reset, but for 2 minutes you could
still see a mark where the line had been.... for me this is good proof that
it does burn you LCD....
