TI Connect for Mac OS X
Posted by Michael on 24 July 2003, 04:19 GMT
TI has released a version of TI Connect for Mac OS X. Previously the Macintosh version ran in OS X under Classic mode, but now a native version is available as well. It's still in beta, so beware of bugs (about which they request you send feedback). Here's another news item with an unrelated note: Many of you have continued to e-mail about the released ROM v1.16 for the 83+. There aren't any major changes, but if you are upgrade-happy, it will help your CBL 2 with 83+ SE communication.

Oh yeah, OS 1.16 for the 83+(SE). Heck, that's the third iteration of the OS I've had this "year" (school-wise). First 1.13 (preinstalled), then 1.14 and 1.16 (upgrades). The only good thing I've found about 1.16 is that it's as fast as 1.14 and (so far) more stable. Whew. That was a mouthful.

"There aren't any major changes?"
Michael, you should know better than that! OS 1.16 has enough tokens that Omnicalc (with a small patch) will work on the unmodified OS. I'd say that's a major change.

Hey, maybe this means I'll finally see TiConnect for AmigaOS.
Boy, that'd be great
