Archivers Discuss Peeps
Posted by Joey on 23 April 2003, 08:32 GMT
ticalc.org was down from about 4:45 to 6:20 GMT today. Unable to add files for more than 1.5 hours, Morgan and I consoled each other, discussed marshmallow Peeps, and waited for the site to come back up. Somehow, life moves on. Update (Joey): Despite the red border, everything mentioned in this article actually happened. The only reason it is red is because it is "funny".

Now we need a poll about this:
Is it right to fiddle while the server burns?
Yes, unconditionally
Yes, as long as you have Peeps to talk about
No, unless it's someone's fault
No, unconditionally

I don't think that this rating is right:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/ files/fileinfo/279/27945.html
is rated first in the top downloads this week! It's above VTI! That just rings wrong with me. Is this true?

This is IMPOSSIBLE!
I mean, it's an INTEREST program. It's BASIC. It's not a game. It is a MATH program. No screenshots. Not a featured program. The only program ever made by this "bdklsldkq lskdglsdk". Compare it to VTI. Now, I'm not saying it's bad, but compared to VTI, and all the programs made by Patrick Davidson, and Thomas Nussbaumer, and all the other really great programmers, it sucks.
Yes. Something wierd is going on. True, no one would download something 2000 times. I think this guy has highspeed internet. And a autodownloader.
Which brings me to say, I got #1 Voyage 200 file the first week I put TankWars (the first Voyage 200 game I made) up. And I didn't download it a single time (I didn't need to)! Horray! GO ME! :)
