PLC simulator/emulator released
Posted by Niklas on 28 May 2002, 17:26 GMT

Kuashio has released has released TI-PLC, a PLC simulator/emulator for the Ti-89. The program is based around ladder programming and has a variety of controls and tools to play with. It also supports controlling stuff through the link port, and therefore comes with schematics for building an interface (and a weird example for it that can be a great learning experience :) ).

More TI-89 stuff from the same author can be found on his homepage.

BTW, as you've probably seen over the last few days, we're working our way through the pending files and hope to be back to near-instantaneous (meaning within 24hrs) file adding soon.

Poeple should not add so many images for mirage. Zip them into one file so you save the staff a lot of work.. I am blaming Jeff and Morgan Davies, they are just aiming for busiest author.

BTW. check my website for a new one-pixel-side-scrolling-action-game for MirageOS and ION. I need some more béta testers!

Those are the people with all the Physics programs, right? I've also noticed pictures of football logos all done separately.

BTW, PLC probably means Planar Lightwave Circuit. It could also mean Palestinian Legislative Council. See link for more.

Actually, the media folders (and similar) are not included in the "busiest author" statistics. Also, media folders will soon be added to all the calcs - it's my next job after getting pending down to zero. :)

it looks like they DO count towards busiest author, just not for total downloads... at least they weren't subtracted from my total number of files when it was changed... i guess any new ones shouldn't count, cus it's bullcrap what some of these brand new people are doing just to be on the top of one of the charts... oh well, i'm tired so i honestly don't know what i'm saying.

I personally thing that some graphics should be okay, but the dorky people who get programs to convert any picture to a calculator picture file, and do that every day just to get busiest author should be PUNISHED! (That was a big run-on sentence)

I have a few other folder requests:

win/asm/asmstudio8x -- plugins for Assembly Studio 8x
win/icons -- icons for Windows
win/vtiskins -- skins for Virtual TI

This would make the Windows directories much less cluttered.

Sure you are... :)

BTW, It was never my intention to be on the most busiest author list. Personally I think that statistic is pure crap. The only statistics worth while are the Most Downloaded authors of all time.

I know what you mean tho. There have been some authors out there that are just up loading file after file. The only difference it that my files actually do something productive, and don't just display a picture.

I only made these programs for the millions of physics students out there who find the class a challenge, as I once did.

BTW, love the POKEMON program you made... :)

Yeah, well I don't dissaprove of your files (in case you thought I did from my other message), because they have a purpose, other than a picture that you're going to delete after viewing it once. I, personally make programs like that all the time in Math. Whenever we go over a new topic, I make a program to solve it for me. I just haven't uploaded all of them here because I'm lazy. I do think it's neat that you have animated screenshots for all of them. :)

"VTI Capture v1.1" it's in the windows directory.
Or if you are specifically making TI-86 screen shots, you can use "TISSHOT 2.0". It's in the windows directory as well.

Thanks!
I do the same. Each time we move on to a new subject in Math it seems that I have another program to make. But I don't upload those, because they kind of suck.

The animated screen shots just help people decide if they actually could uise the program. That's all.

Stop with the American sports images- wait until you have done them all (or at least a large number) before uploading...
I submitted a file well over two weeks ago and it still hasn't appeared...
Check out my site to download my latest game, 'Keep Going!' (It has to be seen to be believed).
