Niklas returns from void, pending hits low
Posted by Magnus on 24 February 2002, 18:08 GMT

Anobody notice that there have been an unusual amount of files added to our archives lately? Nah, didn't think so...

Anyways, for those who did notice, you can thank Niklas for a lot of this. Niklas has returned from the void of being a retired staff member, and is now helping us keep up with the archives. Hopefully, being one more person on this will help us keep an acceptable level of the pending queue. We will also start working on the large backlog of mail to filearchive@ticalc.org over the next couple of days.

Unfortunatly, we also have to report that due to a versioning error, we have lost several uploaded files. Files uploaded before the Feb 22 but after Feb 11 may have been lost. If you uploaded a file during this period and it has not made it into the archives, please re-upload your file. If the upload script says the file is already in the archives, then it's just in pending and will be processed. If not, it was lost, and the re-uploaded version will be processed.

Great news that the pending queue is almost empty! I have taken this chance to uploaded many new TICT-Releases like TICT-Explorer 1.20, TIGCC Tools Suite 1.00 FINAL and similar (approx. 30 files at all) a few minutes ago and the queue still reports "low". So there is still enough "place" for others .... ;-))

Thanks :]

BTW, there seem to multiple versions of TI-Chess in the archives - should anything be removed/renamed?

Great! ticalc.org has the best archives, and it's good to see them being maintained. Are the authors and user accounts ever going to be merged? That would be good, because then you could actually change your author information.
