Monster v0.10 Released
Posted by Eric on 5 November 2001, 19:25 GMT

Patrick Davidson has released the first version of a new game he's been working on, Monster v0.10 for the TI-89 and TI-92+. It's a grayscale breakout-type game that's similar to the others, except that it features nifty horizontal scrolling and some other cool features as well. Check out his homepage for more information.

People are beginning to forget about ticalc.org because of the file archive blackouts. I miss ticalc.org. I doubt that it will every regain it's former glory if it doesn't hurry up and get the archives back.

well, at least the numerous news items remind us that the site is still alive and kicking, despite the lack of archives.

Yeah but we all remember how much traffic tinews.net had. I mean it was good for news but without the archives ticalc is very lacking.

Yep, archives were the most important part of ticalc. Actually, ticalc was created to be a huge calc program archive. If they don't open the archives soon, they'll probably lose a lot of visitors...

I have a Ti 83 and 89 and am glad to see the 89 archives are open but I just bought my 83 last week used and I need games for it because it is boring not being able to play my graphing calculators but I can't because other people like to play them and then I have to play games on my cell phone.
And remember I am GOD!!!!!!!!!!

I definately agree. This site is like a pothole in the highway of the Internet w/o the archives.

The archives are completly shut down for them to be reviewed and take out what they see as wrong. Instead of waiting until all the bad stuff is filtered out, ticalc could open up what has been approved as not bad. Then the archives would slowly be opened back up.

Yeah, I really miss the old days. I used to come home from school everyday and go straight to ticalc.org. There used to be 4 or 5 articles per day, and 9 or 10 programs uploaded everyday for each calculator... I would spend over an hour each day looking through the new files and articles. For the last few months it has seemed as if Ticalc.org is dead. Now there's a new article about every week or two. Here's to hoping ticalc.org gets back to its glorious self, and soon.

Also any newcomers to this site, you have no idea about the greatness that ticalc.org used to be (and hopefully will soon be), but it was incredible.

Maybe they'll add some of DimTI's features, as an author their system for files is very annoying.

Huh? Okay never mind :)
That's weird. When there was only one comment, it was a 1st comment boast. It got deleted. I guess they really do delete comments.
