BomberMaze68k v1.00 Final Released
Posted by Eric on 27 August 2001, 18:55 GMT

Bomberman extraordinaire Flavien Racine has released the final version of his popular Bomberman clone, BomberMaze68k v1.00, for the TI-89 and TI-92+. BomberMaze is now a no-stub program, so you won't be needing a shell anymore. In addition, Flavien is working on yet another Bomberman, called FlashZ Bomberman, that will be released in the next few days. Update to follow.

I've Downloaded and Tested this game and find it to be fun and the graphics are great. The Greyscale is almost perfect even for Hardware 2.00 calcs. The controls are easy plus many powerups.

The only bad thing is there are not many levels and it need more game sprites.

Hein ??!

I made a total of 8*5+4*5+6*5 = 90 levels, and it is not enough ?
BigDyna = 8*5 = 40 levels
BomberMan89 = 2*5 = 10 levels
BomberBoy = 15 levels

And BomberMaze with 90 levels is not enough ???!
Sorry, but I don't understand !

I feel that there are enough levels. The only thing I'd like to see is more monsters, like in old NES bomberman.

Ok Sorry about the levels comment I guess there are enough levels. Didn't realize at the time. But it could use maybe just a few more game sprites?

You're right. Bombermaze is far, far better than Bigdyna, Bomberboy, or Bomb89. It is incredible to see a game so well finalized. Not like, for example, Bigdyna, that the @#~& author dropped just after having promised so many good things like multiplayer !
Definitively my favorite game on TI89 !

Speaking of TI-FR...I noticed a while back that there was a version of HalfLife which was posted there and in it's news. Does anyone know if there have been any updates to this version, or if there is any new news concerning it whatsoever? The last time I downloaded it there was a promlem with the filesize which made Graphlink reject the transfer. As I don't speak French, it would be great if TICalc.org could make more updates which reflect the new developments in the French community.

HalfLife only works on AMS 1.00. Tons of fun there. It hasn't been updated in a while but the author did release a side-scrolling shoot-em-up currently known as R-Type (remember those games? =p). I can't remember where his website is though...It was in one of the reviews at TI-FR.

I went to ti-fr.org and it says that the site is shut because there are problems with executing PHP scripts and the site is completely written in PHP.

What's up?
