New Filearchive Feature
Posted by Eric on 10 March 2001, 20:00 GMT
In an attempt to address the approximately 8932798235 people that email us wondering when their program is going to be posted to our archives, we've added a little new feature that will let authors know roughly how long their file will be in the pending queue. On both our File Upload Form and our older File Claim Form, you will now be able to see if our current pending queue is low, moderate, or heavy. Hopefully this will let all our authors (and there are many) breathe a little easier when it sometimes takes a little while for their file to be posted.

Wow, finally!
This is a really cool feature ticalc guys! Kudos!
Now, why not tell us the actual number rather than a "low" "medium" "high" thing?

Cool!
but one question...how many programs can be in the queue before it reaches "high" status?

Neat feature, but numbers would satisfy the curious :-)
Also, is preference given for some program categories over others, such as games over math and assembly over TI-Basic?

Why don't you make a page where you can download claimed, but not yet added files? (at the user's own risk of course)

Now that is interesting. I've often wondered when my stuff will get on the site. Now I'll know whether to wait a day or five days. Nice feature, thanks guys!

Just curious, but since you guys seemed so loaded down by files, I was wondering if you needed (or wanted) anybody else to help you sort out what files to keep and what to ditch. If you need any help, I'm here.
