TI-GRAPH LINK Software Updated
Posted by Nathan on 2 November 2000, 12:29 GMT
If you were yearning for version 2.x of the TI-GRAPH LINK software, your wishes have been answered! Texas Instruments has released the TI-GRAPH LINK software v2.0 (v2.1 for the TI-89 and TI-92 Plus). I can't seem to tell what the difference was, but it doesn't say 'beta' on it, and anyhow, who can resist new versions of software? :) In related news, Texas Instrument's Online Store now boats a new TI-GRAPH LINK cable! I think TI has probably managed to make everyone miserable this time. Now Macintosh users have a new, simple USB cable to use, but it's still $55; Windows users still don't get a USB cable, because it's not compatible with their OS. A good compromise leaves everyone unhappy, eh?

Haven't downloaded it - does the Windows version still have that irritating Win3.1 look? Backwards compatability is good and all, but all previous versions have simply looked pathetic. I've only ever used them for AMS upgrades since the non-TI programs first appeared...

OK. It is about time they did something for us Mac users that don't have serial ports. I think that it is a little overpriced. If you have a problem with TI making the cable look interesting (the clear plastic) than that's just too bad. Apple likes to make stuff look cool, and TI can too. If you don't like the cable color, you probably don't like the new covers either. Too bad for you.

Hi. Sorry that it's offtopic, but I don't know how to reach you guys otherwise since I didn't get a reply to any of my mails.
I want to contribute three files to the file-archive. Because there is no fit category for those files I mailed them to you with the request to create a new directory. First, I sent them to filearchive@ticalc.org. No response. Then I tried to send them to one of the archive maintainers in person: nickd@ticalc.org, and later dave@ticalc.org.
So now I try it this way. I would very much like one of you (preferrably someone who has got something to do with the file archives) contact me by email -se below- so we can sort this out. About a year ago I encountered the same problem, and some promises were made but there was no result, so I gave up. Now I have a newer version of the program and some additional tools and I actually would like it to work out this time.
