TIGCC v0.8 Released
Posted by Eric on 13 October 2000, 01:33 GMT

Since we haven't had much activity lately, I thought it fitting to post on some Relatively Big News™ today. The TIGCC Team, which includes such illustrious programmers as Jean Canazzi, Sebastian Reichelt, Xavier Vassor, and Zeljko Juric, have released TIGCC v0.8. For this version, TIGCC has been completely patched and recompiled from scratch. Version 0.8 also includes several major updates to the IDE. You can download TIGCC v0.8 here.

Try using the link.exe provided in the "Alternative TIGCC Files." It's the same linker compiled under Borland C++ Builder. If that doesn't help, try contacting Xavier Vassor. Try _to_ contact him, that is. You probably won't have any luck (neither do I).

All right, guys!
Programming for the TI-89 and TI-92+ just got better. I for one am pleased with the source editor component. Sebastian is a really good Delphi programmer. Keep up the good work. By the way, if you are a C or ASM programmer for the TI-89 (or 92+), direct your browser to my webpage link. It will take you to a community I have created for C and ASM programmers for the said platforms. Come join! Bring some friends!

Sorry about the MSN... :)
MS aside, you should join. Because if nobody joins, I will have no choice but to shut it down. :(
That would be bad. Come support programming on the TI platform! GO TIGCC!

My $0.02 worth of thoughts...
note to self - must stop spending pennies on the web :)

Not to be insulting, but how will this be better than the mailing list or the flourishing tigcc section on the ti chess team's page?

What you must understand is that this "flourishing" TIGCC section on the TICT website was just getting started at one point to. Give me a chance, and I will get it up and "flourishing". Sebastian Reichelt (IDE programmer of TIGCC) helped me get my other community up and running (called DelphiUsers). Now I am making a TIGCC community (because that is what it is mainly about). Come on over and check it out! We need more members, by the way. Bring some friends so we can "flourish" together. :-)

Several serious bugs have been encountered in this release. A fix will be available soon. If you have found a bug and have not told Zeljko Juric or me, please do.
