TI-Chess Homepage Moves to tict.ticalc.org
Posted by Eric on 13 September 2000, 20:57 GMT
The TI-Chess Team has joined the ranks of ticalc.org's hosted sites. Its home page can now be found at http://tict.ticalc.org/, so be sure to go there for your daily dosage of creamy goodness. *cough*cough*</reference to previous news editor>*cough*cough*. Update (Nathan): The TI-Chess Team website now has a message board. Aside from general questions about their products, it also has a TI-GCC programming forum. As Thomas Nussbaumer says, "If the board becomes useful depends completely on you!", so definitely check it out!

I would think tichess.ticalc.org or ti-chess.ticalc.org would be a bit more intuitive but oh well. In any case, good job TI-Chess Team! If only the z80 calcs could handle that kind of AI maybe we could have some decent user-versus-computer games as well.

"Creamy goodness" was a phrase I stole from Phil about a year ago.
Give credit where it's due :-)

Well, it's certainly nice to see shreds of Nick Disabato living on in this web site, although I can hardly imagine him being yesterdays news already. I never got to write a sappy good-bye in the other post, but I share all of your feelings in that I am crestfallen with Nick's departure. At any rate, I am also crestfallen to realize that the 83 will not in the near future contain an AI that will be suitibal enough for me (even though I'm not that great at chess.) Oh well, at least I can bask in the glory of the action RPG once Zelda is completed.

oh, and I really aprove of the new news editor (didn't take the time to glance at the name, however), even though it's only been one post. glad to see that things are still running here, unlike TI-Files. heh heh.

If someone is interested: I have installed a message board on the tict homepage today. This message board holds also a forum on TIGCC programming where you can load up any TIGCC programming related posts.
